WORK PURPOSE:
The Hassi R'Mel Project focuses on expanding and maintaining Algeria's largest gas field. It includes the Construction & Commissioning of three compression stations and a LAB production complex, crucial for optimizing energy production and supporting Europe's energy security. To ensure the operational readiness of these complex units, we are seeking a highly skilled FSE – Mechanical Engineer. This role is critical, with the core responsibility being the supervision and execution of the installation of essential rotating equipment, specifically the Frame 5 - MS5002 Heavy Duty Gas Turbines / BCL Centrifugal Compressors.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Role: Mechanical Engineer (Frame 5 / BCL)
- Location: Algeria – Hassi R'Mell
- Duration: +1 year
- Rotation: 45/15 (day shift) - 30/30 (night shift)
- Working hours: 10 hours per day x 6 days per week
- Accommodation and meals: provided by Client
DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:
The Vendor Specialist or Field Services Engineer (FSE) will be responsible for all on-site activities and will assume the following responsibilities:
- On-site leadership: direct management and coordination of all on-site activities and the assigned technical team.
- Interface with stakeholders: act as the main technical point of contact between the end customer and internal departments (project management, engineering).
- Documentation and reporting: take full responsibility for technical documentation, including expertise in downloading drawings, service requests and drafting comprehensive final service reports.
REQUIRED COMPETENCES:
- Proven experience in Installation Heavy Duty Gas Turbine GE / Baker Hughes / Nuovo Pignone assets.
- Specific, hands-on expertise with Frame 5 - MS5002 / BCL models is essential.
- Experienced in Oil & Gas Industry
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in similar role
